Minister Michael Jackson, Jr., was born on January 24, 1964 in Darlington, South Carolina to the late Michael L. Jackson Sr. and Margrite Davis-Jackson.
“Junnie” as he was affectionally called was educated in the public schools of Darlington County. To know him is to love him. He was funny, charismatic and respectful.
Michael was joined in Holy matrimony to the former Tameeka Smith. Together they worshipped and seek wisdom of Jesus Christ. It was at that time he accepted his calling to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2015.
Minister Jackson into eternal rest on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Jackson and Marvin Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Tameeka S. Jackson of the home; twelve children, Fredrick Rose of Timmonsville, SC, Chemika Kennedy, Mikeyah Jackson and Myeisha Jackson, all of Florence, SC, Shanice Jackson, My’Kwon Jackson, Dyamond Jackson, Destinee Jackson and Trinity Jackson, all of Lamar, SC, Michael Jackson, III of Charlotte, NC, Tamia Smith and Tylan Smith, both of Darlington, SC; ten grandchildren; eight siblings, Celestine Kennedy and Carolyn Jackson, both of Baltimore, MD, Martha Jackson, Minister Della (Minister Curtis) Wilkins, Deloris (Timothy Emmanuel) Jackson and Sylvia (Darron) Henson, all of Florence, SC, and Gloria (Bobby) Jackson-Brown of Pamplico, SC; mother-in-law, Sharon Smith; father-in-law, Ronnie Zimmerman; two brothers-in-law, Travis (Alicia) Smith and Tremaine (Jamie) Smith; two uncles, Dean W. (Inez) Davis of Washington, DC and Roosevelt (Mary Lou) Brown of Greenwood, SC; an aunt, Annie “Aunt Sug” Keith of Florence, SC; a special niece Cortnye Jackson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
