Kiwanada Latrice Cave was born on Wednesday, April 2, 1980 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Alfred Ronald and Gertrude Elizabeth Gardner Cave.

 

She attended the public schools of Holly Hill, SC where she received her formal education. She was employed for a period of time at Wendy’s in Santee, SC.

 

“Wanda” as she was affectionately known, had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. She spent her time making sure that all those who loved her knew that she loved them, “I just called to say that I love ya.”

 

As the road was a little rough for Kiwanda, she found Jesus along the way and shared what she learned of him through letters to her family. As she journeyed through life she attended New Mt. Zion AME Church in Harleyville, SC under the leadership of Rev. Carol berry.

 

On Sunday, August 2, 2015, she entered into eternal rest in Santee, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Gertrude Cave, maternal grandfather, Ray Gardner, paternal grandparents, Richard (Busta) Cave and Viola Cave, uncle, Richard Cave and aunt, Virginia Milton.

 

Kawanda leaves to cherish her loving memories: her grandmother, Molly Gardner Simmons; two brothers, Alpha (Shakera) Cave and John (Jessica) Cave; her fiancé, Jermaine Shingler; two nieces, Ayanna Cave and Rochelle Cave; five nephews, Alpha (Bubba) cave, Aujori (Jah Jah) Cave, Kamari Cave, Rashard Cave and Ra’Quan cave; five aunts, Bertha (David) Washington, Barbara Mack, Patsy (John) Williams, Bevealine Gardner and Catherine (Leroy) Butler; six uncles, Arthur (Loretha) Gardner, Raymond (Margaret) Gardner, Herbert (Geanine) Gardner, David Gardner, Archie (Patsy) Gardner and Jason Gardner; three grand aunts, Polly Gardner, Hanna Heyward and Daisy Stephens and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
