Cassie Lee Green was born on Sunday, March 1, 1964 to the late Richard and Inez Gaymon Green in Clarendon County.

Cassie was a loving Mother, NaNa, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She always had a smile that would just warm your heart.

​

Cassie converted her life at an early age and attended Mt. Pleasant Union Methodist Episcopal Church.

​

Cassie was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. In 1982, she graduated from Scott’s Branch High School in Summerton, SC.

​

After graduating from high school, Cassie relocated to White Plains, NY to live with her aunt and uncle, Rosa and Ramson Adams. She became the big sister to Felicia, LaTonya and Vonetta. She later gain employment at Kasier Hospital. Cassie then met and married Gerald Mitchell and from this union they were blessed with a son, Jamel.

On Friday, March 22, 2019, Cassie entered into enteral rest at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, High Point, North Carolina.

​

Cassie leaves to Cherish her memories, her son, Jamel Keith Mitchell of Thomasville, NC; five grandchildren,  Jamari and Kendall Mitchell of Winston Salem, NC, Lexani and Mylah Mitchell Mitchell of Thomasville, NC, Camden Mitchell of Lexington, NC; five sisters, Martha Green of Thomasville, NC, Loretta Green and Cynthia Bosier of Summerton, SC, Tomeka (Gus) Thames of Manning, SC and Sarah (Michael) James of Thomasville, NC; four brothers, Michael Green of Thomasville, NC, Wilbert (Theresa) Green of Manning, SC, Stacey (Sheryl) Green of High Point, NC and Isham (Helen) Canty of Pinewood, SC, four brother-in-law, two sister-in-law, seven aunts, five uncles, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her aunt, Rosa Adams, 3497 Furse Road, Summerton, South Carolina.
