A sweet spirit is now resting with the Lord. Charles Robert Henry departed his natural life and entered spiritual life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his home in Summerton, South Carolina.

He was born Wednesday, July 8, 1936 in Clarendon County and was a son of the late Gilbert Henry and the late Willie Neal Henry.

​

He received his formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County. He was employed by Rhodes Truck Stop and T.A. Travel Center for 50 Years.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Rosa Ann Benbow Henry, on Friday, October 2, 1964. On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, they would have celebrated 54 Years of Marriage.

In Addition to his parents Gilbert & Willie Henry, his wife Rosa Ann Henry, sister-in-law, Allean Sanders and seven siblings preceded him in death.

​

Those left to cherish his memories are two sons, Charles R. (Janet) Green and Charles A. (Patricia) Henry; two daughters, Rosetta (Willie) Felder and Cynthia Henry; one brother, Eddie L. Henry; one sister, Phyllis Bardliving; five sisters-in-law, Willene Johnson, Millie Benbow, Frances (Milton) Riles,  Sarah (Columbus) Conyers and Daisy Benbow; six brothers-in-law, John (Sallie) Benbow, Willie J. (Sarah) Benbow, Daniel Benbow, Willie L. (Equality) Benbow and James Sanders; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 7 Godchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home, 1205 Washington Street, Summerton, South Carolina.
