Henry “Bullick” Jackson, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Summerton, SC. He was born March 1, 1932, to Henry and Molly Jackson, in Clarendon County, SC. He received his primary education from public schools of Clarendon County. Henry worked diligently as a laborer for the Sawmill located in Estill, SC.
On June 30, 1954, Henry married Fannie Mae Black. This union was blessed with five daughters. Fannie Mae preceded him in death on March 20, 1998. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, his parents (Henry and Molly Jackson), one sister (Carrie Lee Billie), one brother (Jarret Jackson), and two sister-in-law(s) (Mary B. Jackson and Marie Jackson).
Henry was an upstanding member of the Summerton community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and a friendly joke or two. His favorite joke to tell was: “Nothing chicken but the chicken bill, if you stew it down it’ll be chicken still.”
His memory will forever be cherished in the lives of his children; Gail (Leon) Williams, of Bridgeport, CT, Esther (Jerome Sr.) Lloyd of Manning, SC, and Henrietta (Willie) Lemon of Orangeburg, SC; his brothers, John W. Jackson and Moses Jackson Sr., both of Summerton, SC; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
