A Time To Be Born…

Deshawn Theotis “Shorty” Williams was born on June 1, 1978 to Lottie Bonneau and Otis Williams, Sr. in Miami, Florida.

 

A Time To Learn…

Deshawn was educated in the Charleston County School Systems.

 

A Time To Reflect….

Deshawn enjoyed sports, loved riding dirt bikes and enjoyed working on cars. He was very gifted with his hands. “Shorty” as he was affectionately called was known for being the family comedian.

 

A Time To Work…

Deshawn was employed with Lawn Masters of Johns Island, South Carolina.

 

A Time For God…

Deshawn accepted Christ at an early age in New Jerusalem A. M. E. Church. Upon establishing a relationship with the Lord, Deshawn served on the Junior Usher Board.

 

A Time To Die…

Deshawn departed this life on January 24, 2018 at 11:54am surrounded by loved ones. Mary Lee Smalls, Idell Simmons, Dorothy Smalls and Leola Ward; two uncles, Willis Smalls, Jr. and Leon Smalls.

A Time To Be Cherished...

 His memories will always be cherished by his mother, Lottie Bonneau (William) of Summerville, SC; father, Otis Williams, Sr. (Queen) of Ravenel, SC; two children, Tyree Johnson and Nyira Duffy of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Jamauri Johnson, Skylar Johnson and Khylee Johnson; six brothers, Elder Kenneth Green, Leandra Green (Renee T.), Freddy Thomas (Keisha), Kevin Thomas (Lanette), Otis Williams, Jr. and Kevin (Jere) Richards, all of Charleston, SC; three sisters, Patricia Hall (Jesse) and Adranna Williams both of Charleston, SC and Ursula Hart (Samuel) of Newport News, VA; a special sister-in-law, Laverne Green; four uncles, John Small (Lillie P.), Joesph Mitchell (Georgianna), James Mitchell (Ernestine) and Ernest Mitchell (Linda); two aunts, Mary Francis Brown and Allie Mae Rivers; a special cousin, Darryl Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

The family is receiving friends at the home of his brother, Kevin Thomas, 5105 Mulligen Way, Summerville, South Carolina.
